The Camberwell Incredibles

The Camberwell Incredibles are a group of adults with learning disabilities who meet at Trinity College Centre in Camberwell. Together with a team of arts workers they put on art exhibitions and public events.

Our goal is to show how people with learning disabilities can play an important role in their community.

We work imaginatively to equip everyone with a full range of skills they need to lead a good, healthy, creative life.

SDCAS

Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers opened our doors in 1996 with a mission to support asylum seekers and refugees through the Borough of Southwark and prevent them falling into destitution. Since then we’ve expanded to provide a holistic service that meets all in one place from two venues to meet the needs of this population.

We offer:

  • Practical help, including a hot meal, clothing, food, a creche, and the opportunity to socialise in a warm and welcoming place;

  • Health and welfare support both physically and mentally;

  • Advice and advocacy, typically advising clients on immigration, benefits, housing and education issues (signposting to partner organisations where specialist input is needed) so our clients can access their rights, have shelter and the support they are entitled to; and

  • Skills and confidence building including English language training to speed their integration into the local community

RISE

RISE is an award-winning youth project that offers year-long support through weekly one-to-one mentoring, specialist support, and group workshops to 16-24-year-olds experiencing social isolation and/or mental health or emotional challenges in Southwark and surrounding areas.
